iPhone Atlas is a Sprint/Samsung Instinct shill
Just a quick note. I regularly visit iPhone Atlas for usually timely and informative content concerning the iPhone. However, today when I went I noticed a big fat ad for the Instinct. I guess everyone has their price!

I could be your D.o.O.O.D.
Long story short, Jive Software posted a “Video Job Requisition”. I applied for the marketing role with a video response. I had a handful of interviews a few weeks ago and thought that the following “Video Response 2.0” would be a fun follow up.
Here is an external link to it (blip.tv) : Video Response 2.0 ... or you can see it embedded below...
First band to ever release a single through Rock Band.

The importance of analysts -or- I never met an analyst group I didn't want to eat...
So, why the analyst angle? Aren’t they just looking for my money so I can download some 400-page report on the future of some industry I’m not really interested in? Aren’t analyst reports for the old fuddy duddies in the crusty suits and ties in the corner office of some zillion-dollar mega corporation? Don’t those pesky analyst sales reps call me once a week to buy or upgrade my account? What gives?
Warning - creative writing skills getting a serious overhaul
It has been a while since I have written “creatively” on a regular basis. Sure I constantly write ad copy, RFP responses, press releases, proposals, letters, marketing collateral and any number of “business” oriented writing, but something truly unique …. It has been a little while.
Web 2.0 design: Gradients, highlights and the purple cow.
Web 2.0 is here and maturing everyday. Everyone you know has a blog, Facebook page, Twitters and belongs to a dozen forums. But in this world of the future it seems everything is painted purple, green and grayscale.
The earliest design that I can recall embodying the new ever-present Web 2.0 design was Mozilla. Their rounded typeface, plenty of soft colors in the backgrounds and white to blue to white fades on every page. Soon after, round typeface and soft colors represented Web 2.0 everywhere.
Lack of experience...
I have been doing a lot of pondering about folks and their fear of “lack of experience”. I blogged about video game giant EA’s new COO and his lack of gaming experience. I just read a great article on Barack Obama’s use of social media in his campaign (Fast Company magazine) and thought about how often his lack of experience gets brought up.
Old is new again, the true awareness test.
Everyone loves a crazy internet video, especially one that is really funny, remarkable, scary or makes you think differently than before. Being human means you love to laugh, ohhh and ahhh, be frightened or enlightened.
